Color is the purest abstract reality

“Art is higher than reality and has no direct relation to reality. To approach the spiritual in art, one will make as little use as possible of reality, because reality is opposed to the spiritual. We find ourselves in the presence of an abstract art.” Mondrian proclaimed in a search for universal values and aesthetics.

In the early 1990s, abstraction has formed a central stream of modern art. he idea, derived from the ancient Greek philosopher Plato, that the highest form of beauty lies not in the forms of the real world but in geometry, is also used in discussion of abstract art, as is the idea that abstract art, since it does not represent the material world, can be seen to represent the spiritual. It continues to inspire contemporary artists living and working today. To make a purest abstract painting, they continue to use pure patterns of shape, form, color, and line which is purely about the creation of beautiful effects.

GALLERY SU: presents a curated selection of colorful abstract artworks, titled ‘color is the purest abstract reality’ by our represented artists, Do Ho Suh, Kim Whanki, Tom Wesselmann, Ralph Fleck, Ce Jian, Goun Seo, Kyoung Tack Hong, Dongwan Kook, Heejoon Lee, Nayul Kim, and Fay Shin.
